I always had a nice smile, but I was suffering because of the chemotherapy treatment that I had went through. And, I didn’t feel the most confident about my smile because of that. Yeah.

The chemo had damaged my gums. It really burnt my gums, so I didn’t feel the best about my smile at that time, because that was a rough time. I mean, as you can imagine.

In 2019, I joined the Navy. I was young and healthy and everything like that. In 2021, I was stationed in San Diego. And, November 2021, my back really just started hurting out of nowhere. So I ended up going to the doctor on the ship, and then I got diagnosed with cancer in February 2022. I had two stage four cancers. I’d say September 2022 is when I  was officially declared cancer free and maybe a month or two after that, my legs started to go numb, and by the time February 2023 came, I just was completely paralyzed.

I’ve pretty much been through a lot, and I’m really shocked at how I’ve been able to make it through the situation. Just like day to day is tough, but I just make myself happy. And I got a strong support system, so…

I had gone to another dentist and I really didn’t like the treatment. And so I just went on Google at that point, and I was like, man, I gotta- I want to be around people that treat me like family because I’m already going through a lot on a daily basis.

They treat me like a little brother, like family, or like a cousin or something like that. That’s why. That’s why I keep coming back. I feel like I’m at home when I come here.

I was just like, wow. Like, it’s kind of like you for you. Like, oh my God. Like I’m going to find me a wife. “Oh my God. Do you have veneers?” “Your teeth are so white.”, “I like your smile. It’s so beautiful.”, “They did such a great job.”…

There’s no there’s really no need to be nervous because when you come here, you’ll get catered to and you’ll be taken care of and treated like family. There’s really nothing to be nervous about. Honestly, if I could do it in a wheelchair, I mean, you could do it.

Get to know Jesus Christ. I mean, my faith has been huge for me in this journey. Trust in God. That’s pretty much the biggest thing. Yeah.
