Hi there, Dr. Ashish Patel here to talk to you about five steps to having a painless dental visit.

1. Find the right dentist.

Nowadays with the internet, you can do your homework, read the reviews. You know, doctors that offer certain comfort amenities will be listed higher and they’ll have better reviews, so do your homework, find the right dentist.

2. Dress comfortably.

And what I mean by that is you don’t have to dress up. Come in in your sweats, something comfortable. Get to your appointments early so that you’re not rushed and you’re not feeling kind of like hassled or frazzled by the time you get here and just be comfortable when you get here.

3. What kind of amenities do the dentists offer?

In our office, we offer blankets, paraffin hand wax dips. We have dimmed lights, aromatherapy candles, all these things to try and make our patients feel as comfortable as they possibly can.

4. What technology does the office have?

Our office has digital x-rays, which are easier to take. It has the computerized anesthetic delivery called the wand. This gives the anesthetic at a slow, constant rate and it’s not as painful as it used to be when you gave it the old-fashioned way. So, technology in the office.

5. Regular dental check-ups.

The more regular dental check-ups you have, the better your health of your teeth are going to be. If we can catch problems when they’re small, they’re easier to fix.

I hope this helps you have a better dental experience and I hope you enjoyed these five tips.
