Giving Back
Mission trips, community events, and the work that's part of how we practice.
SMILE BRILLIANTLY, Live Beautifully.
Care That Travels
Dr. Patel founded Dentistry at East Piedmont on one idea. Treat every patient like family. That idea doesn't stop at the door of the Marietta practice. It's part of why he travels every year with Flying Doctors of America, the international medical-mission nonprofit. It's part of why the team runs the local 5K. It's part of why a fundraiser organized by a hygienist's son gets the practice behind it.
Giving back here is broader than mission work. It's everything the practice does to extend care past the walls of the office. International trips. Community races. Charity fundraisers. Hurricane relief drives. Each one is its own story, kept here in one place.

Dog Days 5K
Every August, the practice partners with the Rotary Club of East Cobb on the Dog Days 5K, covering the race entry fee for our patients. The Rotary Club has donated over $616,000 from race proceeds to local and international service projects through the years.

Jacob, a junior in high school and the son of our hygienist Lindsey, is raising funds for Smile Train's cleft care surgeries. The practice is matching every dollar donated.

Himalayan Mountains
Mountain villages in the Indian Himalayas with little ongoing access to dental services. A week of treating as many people as the days allowed.
-
Kenya
Dr. Patel's parents were born in Kenya. The trips back carry a particular weight for him, treating patients in communities where dental care is months of travel away.

Marshall Islands

Flying Doctors of America
For more than twenty years, Flying Doctors of America has united physicians, dentists, and other healthcare professionals on short trips to bring skilled care to people who would otherwise go without. Dr. Patel travels with the organization across four continents on its behalf. The international trips above are the ones the practice has documented in photos he's shared from the field.
The Same Care, Wherever You Receive It.
Whether you're in a remote village in the Marshall Islands or in the chair in our Marietta practice, the principle is the same. Treat every patient like family.
