Preventive and Restorative Care

SMILE BRILLIANTLY, Live Beautifully.

What General Dentistry at Dentistry at East Piedmont Includes

General dentistry is the care that keeps your mouth steady year after year. The cleanings that protect your gums.

The early diagnosis that catches decay while it is still small. The fillings, root canals, gum therapy, and bite care that help you keep the teeth you already have.

At Dentistry at East Piedmont, we treat everyday dentistry with the same attention we bring to cosmetic work. A routine visit still happens in a private treatment room.

You still have access to noise-cancelling headphones, warm blankets, ceiling TVs, and sedation options when your care calls for them. The details are not extras.

They are part of making care easier to keep up with.

Our general dentistry services include preventive care (dental cleanings, Guided Biofilm Therapy, fluoride, Curodont™), restorative care (fillings, root canals, CEREC® crowns, periodontal therapy), and functional care (TMJ, bruxism, night guards, sleep apnea).

Why Patients Choose Us for Their Dental Home

Dr. Ashish Patel

Dr. Ashish Patel

Every general dentistry case at Dentistry at East Piedmont is handled with the same precision used for cosmetic work. Today's routine procedure is the foundation for everything else.

FOUNDED 2001 · 3 DOCTORS · REAL PATIENT SMILES ONLY

A filling, cleaning, gum check, or root canal may not sound like luxury dentistry. It still deserves thoughtful care.

Dr. Ashish Patel and our team approach general dentistry as the foundation that makes everything else possible. Healthy gums, stable teeth, a protected bite, and clear diagnosis are what allow cosmetic and restorative work to last.

The difference is in how early and how carefully we work. Curodont™ peptide therapy can help repair very early enamel lesions before a filling is needed.

Guided Biofilm Therapy gives many patients a gentler cleaning experience. CEREC® same-day crowns restore damaged teeth without a temporary crown or second appointment.

Your appointments happen in private treatment rooms with the comforts that have made Dentistry at East Piedmont known as Marietta's upscale dental spa.

Noise-cancelling headphones, warm blankets, ceiling TVs, and sedation options when appropriate help make routine care easier to say yes to.

The Experience Around Everyday Care

Prevention First

Cleanings, gum checks, fluoride, Curodont, and early diagnosis help catch small problems before they turn into larger treatment.

Restorative Care in One Practice

Fillings, root canals, same-day crowns, bite therapy, and periodontal treatment are coordinated by the same team.

Comfort Built In

Private treatment rooms, noise-cancelling headphones, warm blankets, ceiling TVs, and sedation options when appropriate make routine visits feel easier.

Cosmetic Pathways When You Want Them

If routine care turns into a cosmetic question, the same practice can guide you through whitening, Invisalign®, veneers, or a larger smile plan.

Why You're Here Today

Overdue for a Cleaning

If it has been a while, start with a baseline. We check teeth, gums, bite, and imaging, then recommend the right cleaning path, whether that is routine hygiene, Guided Biofilm Therapy, or periodontal treatment. Guided Biofilm Therapy details →

Toothache or a Cavity

Small decay may be repaired with Curodont™ before it becomes a filling. A larger cavity may need a tooth-colored filling. Deeper infection may need a root canal to save the tooth. Fillings details →

Bleeding Gums or Gum Disease

Periodontal treatment ranges from a deep scaling and root planing to laser-assisted gum therapy. Catching gum disease early protects bone, teeth, and overall health. Periodontal treatment details →

Jaw Pain, Grinding, or Snoring

TMJ symptoms, bruxism, and sleep apnea can show up in your jaw joints, teeth, headaches, and the way you wake up feeling. Custom oral appliances may help when the diagnosis fits. Bite and sleep details →

What to Expect, Step by Step

New Patient Comprehensive Exam

Your first visit establishes the baseline. We review full-mouth imaging, periodontal health, bite, oral cancer screening, existing restorations, and anything you already know you want to discuss.

Customized Recall Schedule

Most patients return every six months for cleanings and exams. Patients with gum disease history, heavy buildup, dry mouth, or other risk factors may do better on a three- or four-month schedule.

Treatment as Needed

When we find a cavity, sensitive tooth, sore gum area, failing restoration, or bite issue, we explain the finding and the options before treatment is scheduled.

Coordinated Cosmetic Work

If routine care leads into cosmetic questions, the same team can guide whitening, Invisalign®, veneers, crowns, or a larger smile plan without sending you across disconnected providers.

Who We're a Fit For

General dentistry is for everyone, but a few situations make us an especially strong fit.

  • You're looking for a long-term dental home, not just a place to fix this one thing
  • You want a dentist who takes routine care as seriously as cosmetic work
  • You want routine visits that don't feel routine
  • You're considering adding cosmetic work and want one team handling both

Some specialized cases benefit from referrals to specialists. Advanced periodontal surgery, certain endodontic cases, complex oral surgery.

We coordinate those referrals when they're the right path and follow up on your behalf. The goal is the best outcome for your specific case.

When that means bringing in a specialist, we do.

Investment in Routine Care

General dentistry is the care that keeps small problems from becoming expensive ones.

Insurance may contribute to preventive and restorative treatment when your plan has out-of-network benefits, but the real value is staying ahead of decay, gum disease, bite problems, and failing restorations before they interrupt your life.

Dental insurance may contribute to preventive and restorative general dentistry when your plan has out-of-network benefits. We file as a courtesy and make every effort to estimate your portion, but estimates are not a guarantee of payment.

For procedures that aren't fully covered, financing is available so larger restorative work fits into manageable monthly payments.

If you're new to the practice, the starting point is a comprehensive [exam](https://book. modento.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I come in for routine cleanings?

For most patients, every 6 months. Patients with a history of gum disease, frequent cavities, or significant restorative work often benefit from more frequent visits (every 3–4 months).

We set your recall schedule based on your specific risk factors, not a generic default.

Do you take my insurance?

Dentistry at East Piedmont is out-of-network with every dental insurance carrier. That's a deliberate choice.

Staying out-of-network lets us spend the time, use the materials, and deliver the experience our patients expect, without an insurance company dictating the standard of care.

If your plan has out-of-network benefits, we file your claims for you as a courtesy and make every effort to estimate your patient portion before treatment begins.

Insurance estimates are not guarantees, because the final decision always comes from your carrier and the contract you have with them.

If your treatment is not fully covered, we will talk through the investment and available financing options before you move forward.
